Haha! Crazy Jillian (Lynsey)!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I am so excited to begin this challenge...and kick some butt! I would be interested to know what sort of goals our group has set for ourselves. These goals don't have to be weight related. Is it to fit into that LBD? Have more confidence? Participate in a race?
Personally, I have several goals set for myself. After my wedding (and even before), I packed on several pounds. Currently, I am 20 lbs over my goal weight and that makes me very uncomfortable. So, one of my goals is to get back to my goal weight and to be able to maintain that long term. I am tired of yo-yo-ing!
Another goal of mine is to appreciate and love my body. This is a non-weight related goal because I truly believe you can love your body no matter what size you are or what the number on the scale says. I'm working on this goal and I hope to get there soon!

Melissa: Awesome goals- and really a great way to look at it. I never really thought about loving my body/accepting it....I'm so driven to the number on the scale...I may have to steal that one from you. I also am trying to get back to my wedding weight- I too gained after marriage-then even more with Connor. I also plan to run in the Cleveland Half...and toying with the idea of doing the Akron Full-but walk/run it....just toying with that idea! Thanks for leaving a comment!
ReplyDeleteWell I like the idea of goals. I will share mine with you as well.
ReplyDeleteI have in the last year lost a bunch of weight. I have done okay keeping it off, for the most part, but when I look in the mirror I still see that girl that was 60lbs heavier. I want to be able to look in the mirror and see the person I am today and the person I am going to be in the next however long it takes me to lose everything I want.
I also want to feel more comfortable in what I look like. I like the feeling of going to the store and trying on clothes that are smaller sizes, and I want to continue that along with that comes feeling more comfortable with what I look like.
As for weight goals...I would like to lose another 45 - 50 pounds. Now I know that this might not be realistic, because I might start to get close to that amount and realize that I might start to look too skinny. If that happens great, but if I need more I want to lose more.
Thanks for the suggestion and now that I figured out how to post comments this is fun! LOL!

Hello..everyone...I would like to be able to walk without being short of breath, due the flight of stairs again without my knees hurting and feeling more comfortable in my clothes. That is my goal...if I say 100 pounds..wow..that is a lot, but one day at a time, one pound at a time and then just slowly, it didn't get here slowly and it will take some time to leave. I would like to be able to run on the treadmill again and not hurt on my knees when done. I maybe the LIZ in this program (oldest) one but We all have support. Take care...keep moving!
ReplyDeleteAnd, we all saw Liz lose weight.....and keep it off- so you can too...you are worth of it Mom! I'm proud of you to make this step (as I am with EVERYONE else!)
