It's Wednesday, which means we are halfway there to the BIG weigh in day again! How is this challenge going for everyone? Last week I heard "this challenge is easy"....this week, I will say I haven't heard it's been easy.
It's so hard to get the time to workout and find time for you. I hope you all watch and are motivated by the show, 'The Biggest Loser'. This past week, all of the contestants had to put in a 40 hours work week as well as their workouts...and they showed you that it is indeed a hard battle.
What are some ways that you are able to get your workouts in, all the while of boggling everyday life?
Here are some suggestions....what can you share?!?!
- Plan ahead. Pack a bag to take with you from work straight to the gym
- Write your gym days and times on your weekly planner....be sure to cross it off when your complete for a sense of satisfation
- Wake up earlier. If you're an early riser (which is soo not me!) start the day by hitting the gym. That way you don't have the entire day to make excuses not to go.
- Stay consistent with working out. It's so easy to skip a day here and there, but that leads to more and more days skipped and before you know it; it's been a month since you've been to the gym.
- 2 is better than 1. Find a workout partner who will help you commit to a workout.
- Do something you enjoy! Kickboxing? Yoga? Martial arts? Spinning? Aerobics? Running? If you don't enjoy it, then it will become another "task" to do.
- Try something new every now and again!
Well, that's what I have....what are your thoughts?!?!?

I will say that I have not seen the entire episode of this weeks Biggest Loser, it is something I record, but what I did see was the part where they told them that they would have to put in a 40 hr work week and also work out. I was so excited and so grateful they did this, because yes it is a struggle to work till 5, go to the gym, come home shower, fix a healthy dinner clean up and still have a little bit of time for yourself. I can't wait to sit down and watch this weeks episode to try and find out some ideas or tips from it.
ReplyDeleteAs for this weeks challenge...it has been a tough challenge, and I have had to say no to a few opportunities because I had to stick true to the challenge and head to the gym after work, and if I wasn't given this challenge I probably would have skipped the gym . I will say though that there was one day when I just wasn't into the working out thing, and I will say that I honestly went to the gym and litterally put in the 45 minutes that I was suppose to put in and left. I normally stay at the gym for at least an hour and half, so that is how I knew I wasn't feeling the workout that day, which makes me sad, but at least I went.
As for helping with some time, I think the best thing I could have ever done was start packing a gym bag and going to the gym right after work. I really does save me like an hour at night.
Good luck to everyone on this weeks weigh in!!!
I have a bike and an elliptical at home, so if I am watching General Hospital, I am on one or the other.

Oh Kelly that is a GREAT idea!!!! I am sure watching Sonny and Jason and Patrick and all the other hot guys on that show helps you get through a work out!
ReplyDeleteDone! I have completed the 5 day work out challenge and have to say that it was exactly that, a challenge. I'm glad that I did it along with continuing to drink as much water as I did in the previous week. To prevent my workouts from being to boring, I changed things up a bit which really helped. I hope everyone has had great success with this challenge and it shows in your clothing, your spirit and on the scale.
ReplyDeleteTA DA!!! I have finished my 5 day challenge!!! 5 miles on the treadmill! my last chance workout!
